The Team
Constantine Velentzas, MBA
Chief Investment Officer
Constantine Velentzas is the Chief Investment Officer at C2 Capital Management, where he leads investment research, portfolio construction, and risk management for the Pelorus Life Sciences Fund. A former U.S. Navy officer, he brings nearly two decades of broad commercial biopharmaceutical industry experience to public markets investing — a background that gives the fund a differentiated edge in evaluating clinical development, competitive dynamics, and commercial attractiveness.
Constantine spent more than a decade at Alexion Pharmaceuticals/AstraZeneca in roles of increasing responsibility across marketing, sales, and commercial excellence. Additionally, he was responsible for building the company's first global competitive intelligence function, where he managed a team responsible for competitive intelligence across more than 20 in-line and pipeline indications, built predictive models and AI-enabled intelligence platforms, and regularly briefed C-suite executives and the board of directors on pipeline threats and strategic opportunities. Prior to Alexion, he held marketing roles on the launch teams for Prevnar 13 (Pfizer) and Tecfidera (Biogen), both of which became multi-billion-dollar franchises.
Subsequent to an industry career, Constantine founded Pelorus Intelligence, a competitive intelligence consultancy advising pharmaceutical, private equity, and investment research firms on competitive dynamics and business development opportunities. The same competitive intelligence capabilities, predictive models, and technology-driven processes he has developed for competitive evaluation are now being deployed and integrated into the fund's proprietary investment process.
Constantine holds an MBA from the University of Virginia Darden School of Business and a B.A. from the University of Michigan. His therapeutic expertise spans rare diseases, hematology, immunology, neurology, metabolic disease, obesity, and cardiovascular-renal-metabolic disorders.
